Random Updates...

1. Last Saturday, Riley went to the potty 7 times!
2. She started swimming lessons!
3. Shawn's heading to States for track and field this week with 5 kids!
4. Mom (Grandma) is coming to visit Saturday night!!
5. We now own a double stroller! I found a great deal on Craigslist and with a little TLC, it will be good to go. We took Riley and her baby doll on a walk tonight. Too cute!

I have some cute pictures of Riley from the park the other day, but uploading is challenging with her sitting on my lap. Ah, the suspense!

Rileyisms:
1. "C'mon. Let's go!" And very emphatically.
2. "First" and "Next"
3. "Pop-pop" (lollipop)

Home Improvement!!

Last Monday and Tuesday, our bedrooms got a major face lift. Shawn and I had the carpets replaced with laminate flooring. I am in love! The rooms look so much better!! And, I feel like we are that much more ready for baby #2! Well, minus the slight disarray that our house is still in...but we are working on it! Thanks, Alli, for the great idea to go with laminate!!






So this picture of Riley is to demonstrate how she wears her headbands. I think it is the cutest thing ever! Our big girl just started swim lessons this week, too. These days, she's got some really adorable words and expressions going:

1. Yuck and disgusting.
2. C'mon (especially when she wants to go swimming).
3. Bye, bye airplane (as she waved to a plane passing overhead.

And just lots and lots of general chatter! Fun times!!

Riley's Birthday and Festivities!!

This last week has been packed full of fun for us and Riley! Our sweet, sweet daughter turned two on Wednesday. We celebrated with family and friends at a park last Saturday. A huge thanks to Grandma, Great Grandpa, Grandpa, and Claire for helping with food prep, decorations, set-up, and clean-up. We couldn't have done it without you! Then, we headed to the beach with the King family to celebrate Riley and Alex's birthday together. In between, we also had Grandma, Grandpa, and Claire in-town for Easter this year. It was wonderful to go to a Sunrise service, out to Perkins, and hunt for Easter baskets with family! Great times, for sure! I will let the picture tell the rest of the story...


































Oh, and a quick update on Riley-isms...here's what she is saying and doing these days:
1. "Daddy at practice?" after we dropped Shawn off for track one morning.
2. "Necklaces," "make-up," "princess": my girly girl!
3. Somersaulting and swimming. We even went to the pool three times in one day! Such a water baby!
